HOW DOES IT WORK?
A treatment works by using a special candle, which is gently placed just inside the opening of the ear. The candle is then set alight and is held in place by the therapist whilst it slowly burns down, so you can drift off and relax. The candle is very long and will only burn down to a certain point, so there is no risk of burns or scalds. The candle creates a gentle suction and vibration in the ears and the air created by the candle gives a lovely stimulating effect.

Relaxing music is played and incense stick can be burned to help create a warm relaxed atmosphere. Reiki is used around the head and a gentle massage is given around the face and ears.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Kay) means the channelling of energy. It aids the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It can be used on anyone or anything, even animals can benefit from this treatment.
In the treatment, breathing techniques are used to help you breathe correctly. The therapist will work their hands over the body from the face to the feet on both sides of the body.
Reiki works on the whole of the body as well as the endocrine system and the Chakras. Chakras are balls of energy that help the body to function. There are 7 main Chakras that each have their own colour.

PLEASE NOTE.
You will be fully clothed throughout. The therapist will work from the front to the back, placing their hands in various different position on the body for 2-3 minutes. Reiki can sometimes be performed over the abdomen or the foot area, as these two are the main areas governing the system.
